After all, he was a gifted basketball player whose talent on the court earned him a full-ride scholarship (and eventually the attention of the New York Knicks) to the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY—which happens to have a renowned architecture program. It was there that Mazria decided to become an architect.
